Every roof reaches a point where patching it is throwing good money after bad. Shingles lose their granules, go brittle, and stop shedding water. Once that's happening across the whole roof, each storm finds a new way in. A replacement resets the clock. Done properly, it also fixes the problems you couldn't see: soft decking, tired flashing, and an attic that can't breathe.

We do full tear-offs down to the wood deck. Laying new shingles over old ones hides rot, adds weight, and shortens the life of the new roof. With the deck exposed, we replace damaged sheathing, then install ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, where ice dams and wind-driven rain do their damage. Synthetic underlayment, flashing, and your new shingles follow.

As a TAMKO Pro Certified Contractor, we install TAMKO Titan XT shingles and StormFighter IR impact-resistant shingles, along with Atlas lines. 50-year shingle options are available. Bryant walks you through the choices, what each one actually gets you, and which fits your house and budget. Financing is available through partner lenders if you'd rather spread the cost out.

Signs it’s time

  • Granules are piling up in your gutters
  • Leaks keep showing up in new places
  • The roof is 20-plus years old
  • Decking feels soft or the roofline sags

What’s included

Done once. Done right.

Every roof replacement job gets the same treatment: a written scope, the owner checking the work, and a site left cleaner than we found it.

01

Complete Tear-Off

We strip the old roof down to the deck so nothing stays hidden. The sheathing gets checked, and soft or rotted sections are replaced before anything goes on top.

02

Ice and Water Protection

Self-sealing membrane goes on the eaves, in the valleys, and around penetrations, the spots where North Jersey ice dams and driven rain cause most leaks.

03

Flashing and Pipe Boots

We replace worn flashing, pipe boots, and drip edge rather than shingling around tired old metal. These details are where most roofs eventually fail.

04

Your Choice of Shingle

TAMKO Titan XT, StormFighter IR impact-resistant, or Atlas shingles, installed to manufacturer specifications. Ask about the 50-year options.

05

Ventilation Correction

We check intake and exhaust ventilation and correct what's lacking. A roof over a hot, damp attic wears out years ahead of schedule.

06

Magnet-Swept Cleanup

Landscaping is protected during tear-off, debris is hauled away, and the yard and driveway are swept with a magnet for nails before we call it done.

What it’s like to work with us.

“We recently had 2 roofs replaced — ours and my mother’s. Bryant walked us through the entire process with frequent updates, stuck to the schedule, and made sure the sites were perfectly clean afterwards. We were very impressed with their efficiency.”

Roof Replacement FAQ

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are torn off and re-roofed in one to a few days, depending on size, pitch, complexity, and weather. Rotted decking or multiple old layers add time. We don't open up more roof than we can make watertight the same day, so your house isn't left exposed overnight.

Can you put new shingles over my old ones?

Building codes generally allow one new layer over an existing one, but we recommend against it. An overlay hides deck rot, traps heat, adds weight, and makes future leaks harder to trace. It can also limit manufacturer warranty coverage. A tear-off costs more up front, but you get a roof you can actually trust.

What determines the cost of a new roof?

Square footage, pitch, how many layers come off, how much decking needs replacing, the shingle line, and the number of chimneys, skylights, and valleys. Access and disposal matter too. We measure your roof, inspect it, and give you a written estimate so you know exactly what you're paying for. Financing is available through partner lenders.

Do I need a permit to replace my roof in New Jersey?

It depends on the town and the scope of the work. In many New Jersey towns, a straight re-roof on a single-family home is treated as ordinary maintenance, while structural work is not. You don't need to figure it out. We check your town's requirements and handle any permit that applies.
