A new roof is a system, not a layer of shingles. Deck, underlayment, ice barrier, flashing, ventilation, and shingles all have to work together. Get one piece wrong and the rest suffers. Skimp on intake vents and the attic overheats. Skip the ice barrier and the first hard winter backs water up under the eaves. Installation quality matters more than the brand on the wrapper.

We install roofs on new builds, additions, dormers, garages, porches, and existing homes getting a complete new system. On additions, the tie-in is where the job is won or lost. Where the new roof meets the old one, or meets a wall, the flashing and underlayment have to be layered correctly, or you'll be chasing a leak for years.

We're a TAMKO Pro Certified Contractor and install TAMKO Titan XT, StormFighter IR, and Atlas shingles, with metal available for homeowners who want it. Bryant helps you pick a material and color that suit the house, and we work around your builder's or general contractor's schedule. Where permits are required, we handle them.

What’s included

Done once. Done right.

Every new roof installation job gets the same treatment: a written scope, the owner checking the work, and a site left cleaner than we found it.

01

Material Selection Help

Architectural shingles, impact-resistant shingles, or metal. Bryant lays out the honest pros and cons of each for your roof pitch, budget, and plans for the house.

02

Deck Preparation

New or existing sheathing is checked for proper fastening, spacing, and flatness. Shingles only lie flat and seal well over a sound, even deck.

03

Underlayment and Ice Barrier

Ice and water membrane at eaves, valleys, and penetrations, with synthetic underlayment across the rest of the deck as a second line of defense.

04

Flashing and Tie-Ins

Step flashing, counterflashing, and valley details are layered so water always runs over the top of the next piece, never behind it.

05

Balanced Ventilation

Intake at the soffits and exhaust at the ridge, sized to the attic. Balanced airflow limits ice dams in winter and heat buildup in summer.

06

Walkthrough and Cleanup

Bryant checks the finished roof, the site gets a full cleanup and magnet sweep for nails, and you get answers to any questions before we leave.

What's the difference between new roof installation and roof replacement?

Mostly the starting point. A replacement begins with tearing off an old roof and fixing what's underneath. A new installation starts from bare framing or fresh decking on a new build, an addition, or a structure that has never had a finished roof. The system that goes on top is the same, and so are the standards.

Which roofing material should I choose?

For most North Jersey homes, architectural asphalt shingles give the best balance of cost, looks, and durability. Impact-resistant shingles make sense if you've had hail or you live under heavy tree cover. Metal costs more up front but typically lasts much longer and sheds snow well. Roof pitch matters too, since low slopes rule out some materials.

Can you match the roof on my addition to my existing roof?

Often, yes. If your current shingles are still being made, we can use the same line and color, though the older section will have faded some. If they're discontinued, we find the closest match. When the existing roof is already old, it can make sense to re-roof the whole house at once so everything ages together.

When is the best time of year to install a roof?

Spring through fall is ideal, because shingle seal strips bond best in warm weather. That said, roofs go on year-round in New Jersey. In colder months we take extra care handling shingles and hand-seal where needed. If your project is on a construction schedule, we work with your timeline and the forecast.
